Zinedine Zidane has turned down the chance to take charge at Manchester United. With Spanish media saying it was due to two factors.
The Red Devils just released an official statement on their departure from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday. After doing poor performance which led the team to lose to Watford 1-4 in a mess.
Media outlets say Zinedine Zidane is most likely to work at Old Trafford. But Spanish outlet Cope says the Frenchman turned down the offer for two reasons.
The report revealed that the first reason was because of the language the coach felt he was not ready to work in England. The second was because the ex-midfielder’s wife did not want to live in Manchester.
In addition, Kope reports that Zidane will become Paris Saint-Germain’s choice of manager in the event Mauricio Pochettino decides to join Manchester United.
According to El Partidazo de Cope, Zidane has quickly rejected United’s fresh approach due to three reasons.
Firstly, the 49-year-old’s ‘command’ of the English language makes him hesitant to pursue a job in the country.
On top of that, Zidane’s wife also has no interest in moving to England, which will have proved decisive.
Most interestingly, though, the ex-Real Madrid boss is more tempted by the PSG job, which could be ‘appearing on the horizon’
