Oriol Romeu has complete a deal to become a new Barcelona player and return to the old club after 12 years.

He was a youngster at Barca before leaving for Chelsea in 2011. follow by moves to Valencia, Stuttgart, Southampton and Giro.

Born in Catalonia. Romeu had a spell in Espanyol’s academy before he join Barca’s youth team. And was give his debut by Pep Guardiola in 2011.

A move to Chelsea followed months later but it was at Southampton where he established himself as a Premier League regular, making 256 appearances during a seven-year stay at the St Mary’s until he left in 2022.

Romeu was a regular for Girona last season and will now ply his trade at Barcelona again under old team-mate Xavi.

Romeu caught the eye last season at Girona, leading the team to a 10th-place finish after being promote. And now he will return to Camp Nou as a replacement for Sergio Busquets, the Catalan club has signed a three-year ufabet

contract for Romeu. Paying him €5m plus letting Pablo Torre join Girona on loan, they have been

eyeing a number of midfielders since Busquets confirmed his departure. But with their limited budget, they chose Romeu as their short-term replacement.

However. Even Romeo is seen as a substitute because he plays in the same position.

But it will have to wait and see if he will be given the opportunity to play continuously. Because there are still rivals in midfield like Ilkay Gundogan. Pedri Gabi and 31-year-old midfielder Frenkie de Jong. It becomes Barca’s fourth signing of the summer after Gundogan. Inigo Martinez and Vitor Roque, but the latter will join next year.
