Autodesk Revit LT 2018 Updates
Exciting news now! The Revit 2018.1 update is the very latest version of the software and is currently available for download.
As Autodesk has explained previously, they’ve improved the frequency of Revit product releases basically catching up our release schedule to better match with the agile development methodology we embraced some time ago.
You can discuss your ideas for improving Revit with the user community around the Revit Suggestions page.
So what is new in Revit 2018.1?
Delivering on our long-term objectives, this release includes functionality and features that fortify Revit– developing a good base for product reliability and efficiency– which modernize, developing a modern and effortless experience. There’s also functionality that helps you efficiently produce information that captures design intent and join workflows for team-based project delivery.
Exactly like with AutoCAD There’s AutoCAD LT, There’ll be a Revit LT with lesser cost than Revit but restricted functionality. Take a look and see whether it could possibly be applicable to you.
Need help with moving to BIM? Revit LT could help.
The features in Autodesk Revit LT are specially built to support workflows in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for high-quality design with the appropriate documentation. Use the intuitive 3D modeling tools to communicate your designs and visualize them more clearly, and fulfill the demand for deliverables out of BIM. Create photorealistic 3D architectural renderings in the cloud using Autodesk 360 Rendering, available with Autodesk Subscription.
How does Revit vs Revit LT support the BIM procedure?
Revit LT supports the BIM process by creating organized, consistent, and quantifiable information regarding a building project throughout design and construction. BIM helps provide design professionals insight to their projects with the capability to keep design information up-to-date, and extract information in the building design during any stage of design. This insight helps professionals layout more efficiently, obtain earlier approvals, and deliver higher quality, more readily constructed projects with fewer issues during the construction process.
Who’s Revit LT for?
Revit LT is designed for building design professionals focusing on projects that can be completed independently or with limited internal cooperation but may benefit from a BIM-based workflow to produce more precise, coordinated designs and documentation. Ideal for single users, Revit LT users who do not will need to collaborate in precisely the exact same project file concurrently with other people in the firm, and who don’t need access to structural or energy analysis tools.

What is AutoCAD Revit LT Suite applications?
AutoCAD Revit LT Suite is a package comprising Autodesk Revit LT and AutoCAD LT applications using one serial number and one authorization code. This combination allows you to keep your investment in AutoCAD LT, however, once you’re prepared, providing the flexibility to proceed to BIM with assistance from Revit LT.
Autodesk Revit LT Includes a subset of the features in the Autodesk Revit program, available in Autodesk Building Design Suite Premium as well as in the Ultimate editions. A general summary of additional functionality that is included most editions of Autodesk Revit is below:
Included in Revit LT: Intelligent (Parametric) Components, Single, Coordinated Model, Autodesk 360 Rendering
Not included in Revit LT: Multiuser Environment/Worksharing, Near-Photorealistic Rendering, Autodesk 360 Energy Evaluation for Autodesk Revit, Conceptual Massing, Adaptive Components, Exports to gbXML
